  •   Parent Conference Week

    Parent conferences will take place November 15th-November 19th, 2021.  Monday November 15th is a non-student day. Tuesday November 16th-Friday November 19th are minimum days and dismissal is at 11:55am.  More information regarding parent conferences to come soon.


  •   PTA Run Club

    We need your help to keep our students running! We are looking for volunteers to help set up, distribute and scan run cards Tuesday and Thursday mornings at Run Club. If you can help out please contact shoalcreekrunclub@gmail.com to get more information. Thank you for your support of Shoal Creek’s Run Club!


  •   Volunteer Requirements

    As the volunteer restrictions are beginning to change, we want you to be aware of the volunteer requirements that must be completed before you may volunteer during the school day.  Click here to get the forms and information you need to know before volunteering.  In addition to the TB test and Megan’s Law background check, volunteers must also show proof of COVID vaccination or negative COVID test results.  At this time, 1-2  volunteers for each class will be allowed on campus.  Volunteers are able to assist teachers inside and outside the classroom.  Masks are required for all volunteers.  Volunteers must make arrangements with the classroom teacher before coming onto campus.  All volunteers must sign-in and out through the front office.


  •   Message from the Shoal Creek Library

    Help us Get New Books! The Shoal Creek library needs new diverse books to continue to reach the district goal of providing racial equity and inclusion in our schools. There are two ways you can help.

    Donating a Book on Our Shoal Creek Elementary School Wish List: Our library maintains a wish list at Amazon.com. Any items purchased from the wish list can be shipped directly to our school. NOTE: Sometimes wish list items arrive without packing slips and we cannot tell who donated it. If you purchase an item from our Amazon Wish List, please let me know spoole@powayusd.com so we can thank you properly!

    Donate Your Outgrown Hardcover Children’s Books: Are your shelves overflowing with hardcover picture or chapter books that your kids have outgrown or don’t want to read? The school library would love to receive them (if they are in good condition.)  The library accepts hardcover children’s books that are in good condition and are age-appropriate for K-5 students. No paperbacks, young adult or adult books, please. Have your students bring your donations to the library and place them in the donation box or leave at the front office with a note that the book is a donation.  Thanks for helping the library purchase up-to-date, exciting diverse titles that kids and teachers want to use!   •   Join PTA!

    What does it mean to be a PTA member? It means supporting our school and the activities the PTA provides our students and teachers. By becoming a PTA member you are ensuring we can continue to provide fun activities for our kids like Running Club, Fall Festival, Book Fair and other great family events and that our teachers get the classroom supplies they need.   •   Yearbook

    The Yearbook Committee would like to ask you to share your First Day of
    School pictures with them for consideration for the yearbook. You can send
    your picture to shoalcreekyearbook@gmail.com or upload it directly to the
    yearbook by using the Yearbook Snap app and dropping it in the First Day
    of School folder.


  •   Medication at School

    If your child is on medication, a “Physician’s Recommendation for Medication” is required. Please print off a copy of the form located below and have it completed by the physician, we will be collecting completed forms and medication once school begins in August. No medication may be given at school without this form. An adult must bring the medication to the school office, in the original container medication is dispensed. Children may never have medication in their possession at school. This includes aspirin, inhalers, cough drops, etc.
