To enroll your child in a school other than your "school of residence" for the 2021-2022 school year, a Transfer Request must be submitted between Feb. 1-March 31, 2021.
Intradistrict Transfer Requests
– If you live in the Poway Unified School District boundaries and are interested in requesting a transfer to a school that is not your school of residence, you must do the following:
Submit a request during the transfer window of February 1 – March 31, 2021 on the PUSD website
We will not accept transfer requests after
March 31, 2021
Parents who would like to keep siblings together must apply for a transfer during the February 1 through March 31 time period
If you have a student who is new to PUSD, you must enroll in your school of residence or we cannot consider the transfer request. Submit a transfer request during the transfer window, then enroll at your school of residence in early May.
If your transfer request is approved, your child automatically will be removed from his/her school of residence and placed at the approved school
Transfer decisions could possibly be determined as late as the day before school starts in August and after
all
neighborhood students and/or provisional students (those placed outside their attendance area due to class-size limits) are seated at their school of residence
Please note: Transfer decisions are based on seats available in the grade level of the requested school
If a transfer request is not submitted during the February 1 through March 31 window, students will attend their school of residence. Parents will need to reapply for a transfer the following year during the transfer window of February 1 – March 31.
