The Poway Unified School District, in partnership with San Diego County Health and Human
Services, Palomar/Pomerado Hospital, and the City of Poway, is planning to offer nine school site
H1N1 Flu Vaccination Clinics in mid-November and early December.
On Monday, October 5, 2009, Oak Valley Middle School experienced an increase in the number of sixth grade student absences, with some parents reporting fever and flu-like symptoms in their children.
Reports of academic progress for schools in the state and nation have been released
and the Poway Unified School District is pleased to report that the Academic Performance
Index (API) score for the District went up six points from 870 to 876, with all PUSD
comprehensive high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools exceeding the target of
800, which the state set for all schools to reach by the year 2014.
The Poway Unified School District is proud to announce the selection of Vickie Bakki as
principal of Canyon View Elementary School.
The Poway Unified School District, in Partnership with the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, will offer H1N1 vaccination clinics at Poway High School and Sunset Hills Elementary School on Saturday, January 16.
This coming Saturday, the Poway Unified School District, in Partnership with the San Diego
County Health and Human Services Agency, will offer two H1N1 vaccination clinics for Poway Unified
students and their siblings ages 6 months to 18 years of age and for pregnant women.
