Q: When is Open Enrollment?
A: Open Enrollment is from October 21st, 2019 – November 4th, 2019.  


Q: How do I make changes/adds/terminations to plans and dependents?
A: All changes should be made via BenefitBridge our online self service platform. Through BenefitBridge you can easily make changes at a click of a button. Visit:

 Q: How do I continue or enroll in the Opt Out Program?
 A: ALL employees who wish to Opt Out of coverage for plan year 2020 MUST log into BenefitBridge, select the Enrollment Package indicating Opt Out and elect the 2020 Opt Out/Waive Medical plan listed under Cash In Leiu.

Q: How do I enroll in a Flexible Medical Reimbursement Account or Dependent Care Account in plan year 2020?
 A: Select Medical or Dependent Care Reimbursement FSA via BenefitBridge and select your annual election for plan year 2020. 

Q: If I’m not changing anything on Medical, Dental, or Vision, do I have to log into BenefitBridge?
A: All employees are encouraged to log into BenefitBridge and validate their personal information, dependent information, and  current elections.

Q: How do I add or terminate dependents through BenefitBridge?
A: Adding Dependents:  Add the dependent(s) on the  Dependents screen AND add them to the plan(s) selection or your choice. You MUST also upload a copy of the 1040 Tax Return showing the dependent(s) being added, a marriage certificate for spouse, or a birth certificate for children. Please reference page 6 of the Employee Benefits Information Guide for required documents)

Terminating Dependents: If the dependent dependent still meets the dependent qualifications (see page 6 of the Employee Benefits Information Guide) but you do not wish to cover them, simply remove them from each plan by unchecking their name. If the dependent no longer meets the dependent qualifications, you can remove them from the Dependent screen. 

Q: Can I add my parents, nieces, nephews or other family members living with me?
A: No, dependents are defined as: legal spouse/unregistered domestic partner and/or children.
Children are considered eligible if they are:

  • You or your spouse’s / unregistered domestic partner’s biological children, stepchildren, adopted child or foster child up to age 26. Dependent child need not be a student, unmarried, tax dependent or living with parent.
  • You or your spouse’s / unregistered domestic partner’s children of any age if they are incapable of self-support due to a physical or mental disability

 Q: How do I increase my Standard Supplemental Life Insurance Policy?
 A: To increase your Supplemental Life Insurance Policy you must make a selection via Benefit Bridge and complete the medical history statement in the link provided through BenefitBridge. Remember coverage maximums apply. Coverage maximum for self is 5 times your annual salary. Coverage maximum for spouse is 50% of employee coverage.

 Q: How do I enroll or terminate Hyatt Met Law?
 A: To enroll or terminate Hyatt Met Law, simply check or uncheck the plan option listed in BenefitBridge under Legal Services.
