Curriculum Adoption for Secondary History and Social Studies

Learning Support Services is excited to share that we are piloting new mathematics materials at elementary school.   Our pilot team is currently reviewing and piloting two different publishers in classrooms with students. Poway Unified School District welcomes your input.  You can share by reviewing the materials below and completing the accompanying feedback forms

GUIDING RESOURCES

The pilot team’s work is guided by the curriculum outline set forth by the California Department of Education. PUSD Instructional Materials Adoption Board Policy (BP) and Administrative Regulations (AR). Please see below to review.
CA State Standards for Mathematics (K-5)

  • Educational standards are the learning goals for what students should know and be able to do at each grade level. The standards are WHAT is being taught.
CA Framework for Mathematics
  • The  framework is research-informed models for course design that help teachers align learning goals with classroom activities, create motivating and inclusive environments, and integrate assessment into learning. The framework supports HOW the standards are taught.
