Director Message
Welcome to the Poway Adult School 2022 Spring Quarter!Director of CTAAE, Kathleen Porter

Springtime brings with it a change in our scenery – with the return of blossoms, wildlife and people enjoying outdoor activities. As we emerge from the pandemic, many of us are seeking to change our scenery through embarking on a new career path, learning a new job skill, discovering happiness through personal enrichment, or improving our health and lifestyle. The courses you’ll find in this Spring term offer a variety of choices and opportunities to pursue all of these things and more. We take great pride in developing courses that are appealing and relevant to the needs of our broad and diverse community. We’ve also expanded to new locations, so that class you’ve been seeking might be only a few minutes away!

A few new highlighted courses include:

  • Career Exploration Workshop Series
  • Clay Sculpting
  • Designing a Small Business Website
  • Starting a Food Business (At-home or Commercial)
  • Intro to Poetry
  • Women’s Self-Defense
  • Eight new Pickleball classes!

Youth Enrichment Program: Our kids also need a break this summer to have fun and be creative! Our upcoming PUSD STEAM Summer Camps for elementary and middle school students is the place for them to learn and have fun. On behalf of all of us at Poway Adult School, we hope you’ll join us and experience some of the best this Spring has to offer.

See you in class!

Kathleen Porter
