You Can Learn Online

This course will prepare you to use the technology tools needed to interact in an online learning experience when either taking a course or supporting your children in remote learning. We will cover Poway Unified School District's My Connect; the virtual conferencing tool, Zoom; CANVAS and how to manage and / or access these tools on a computer, tablet and mobile-device.

Career Readiness Workshop Series

Some job-seeker students take these in the order they are listed and many start where they are for just-in-time support. Sign-up for all and build upon your knowledge and further develop your career strategy. 
Develop Your Career Plan
This workshop focuses on your career goals based on your trifecta: a combination of your unique interest proļ¬le, labor market demand, and wages. It encourages you to develop a career plan based on data and evidence to add confidence to your career decisions. Choose from on-Zoom or on-campus options.
Target Your Resume
Create a resume that focuses on your experience and employer needs. Write a compelling Professional Summary to highlight your skills that meet or exceed job requirements. The Professional Summary becomes your talking points for networking.
Ace Your Interview
This workshop focuses on interview preparation and practices. Topics include reviewing and incorporating transferable skills, exploring various types of interview questions and developing your best answers to avoid interview pitfalls.
Build Your Network, Enhance Your Career
We will explore how to build your career opportunities and learn about how and where to develop professional networking leads to open doors for your next career steps.
