English as a Second Language (ESL) Program Orientation

ESL Orientation and Registration Process

Registration Information:
Students interested in attending Poway Adult School ESL must register for an orientation. Click one button to select an Orientation option below.  

Virtual Orientation:  Choose this button to tell us you wish to participate in Orientation on Zoom from your personal computer. You will have your level assessed and by a teacher at that time.  Click below to receive an email for your date and time.
 

Face to Face Orientation offered at the Poway Adult School location: 13626 Twin Peaks Road, Poway, CA

To register for English as a second language classes held at Poway Adult School, please sign up for an in-person Orientation / entry testing sessions by clicking the button below. You will receive an email confirmation of your testing date and time. All testing sessions are by appointment only. NO walk-ins will be accepted.

Orientation Information:
Day 1: Testing
  • Attend the testing session you were assigned
  • Arrive 10 min before appointment to check in
  • Allow 90 min to complete testing process
  • Please do not bring children!
  • You will be given a future appointment time to meet with an advisor (Zoom/phone)
Day 2: Advising
  • Meet with your advisor (Zoom/phone) to discuss your educational goals
  • ​Receive your class assignment and access to class website
NOTE: All health guidelines will be strictly followed and enforced.  All staff and students must wear masks while on campus and in the testing room.  More information will be provided in  your confirmation email.
