Poway Unified School District Long Range Facility Master Plan 2020

Poway Unified School District Long Range Facility Master Plan 2020 is the vision of the Poway Unifed School District. The District strives to inspire passion and to prepare every student to thrive in college, career, and life by providing personalized, rich, and rigorous learning experiences.

“Creating culture and conditions to empower world-class learners”

In keeping with this commitment, and recognizing that high-quality facilities contribute to a high-quality learning environment, Poway Unifed embarked upon the development of a comprehensive Long-Range Facility Master Plan (LRFMP). The Plan sets a logical course of action for future capital improvements and facility management over the next ten (10) to ffteen (15) years. It is designed to be a “living, breathing” document that will be updated and adapted over time.

Community Facilities Committee (CFC)

The Community Facilities Committee is comprised of approximately 40 members that include local leaders, parents, teachers, district and site staff, business/community members, public safety professionals, and students to reflect the geographic and demographic diversity of the district. The Committee was formed in April 2019 and will complete its work in December 2019.

The Committee is charged to support the preparation of a Long-Range Facilities Master Plan (FMP) by identifying the community's priorities, representing stakeholders, conducting site visits to review facilities, contribute ideas regarding the development of the FMP, provide feedback to the District Leadership Team, and communicate to the community about the FMP and its findings.
