Students need to organize their week for consistent participation.  PUSD online courses are developed with the intent that students will need to spend 80 hours total in order to complete a course.

STUDENT VOICE with Value Added: In order to create a community of learners, students will be expected to participate in discussion board forums. It is imperative that the discussion forums reflect high order thinking and maintain language expectations for an academic environment.

  • Give an example of what the prior post described;
  • Provide a different perspective of the topic posted;
  • Expand upon the idea posted in the message by including more detail and depth.
The instructor will provide feedback in the first few modules to support understanding of this concept.

Students are responsible for honest completion of their work including examinations.  There will be no tolerance for infractions.  If you believe there has been an infraction by someone in the class, please bring it to the instructor’s attention immediately.  The instructor reserves the right to discipline any student for academic dishonesty in accordance with the general rules and regulations of the Poway Unified School board policy and California Educational Code. Incidents of academic dishonesty will be reported to the site administration and handled according to Board policy.

ASSIGNMENT QUESTIONS

Each online course has a HelpDesk discussion board forum within Canvas for students to post questions. Please review the posted questions and replies before posting your question(s) or contacting the instructor about a problem. Instructors should respond to new posts within 24 hours.
