What I Wish My Parents Knew

The next “What I Wish My Parents Knew” parent forum is coming to Oak Valley Middle School on Wednesday January 29th from 6:30-8:45. This event is centered on interactive sessions that feature the voices of students from our PUSD community. Local community leaders and the principals from our PUSD high schools will be will be facilitating workshops addressing topics such as: Communicating with Your Teen, Handling Academic Pressure, Establishing Guardrails, Managing Social Media, Managing Healthy Relationships, and Managing Stress and Anxiety.

  Speak Up Survey 2020

This year, Poway Unified School District is participating in the national Speak Up Research Initiative to seek feedback from teachers, students, staff, and parents to help us improve learning for all students. Since 2003, over 5 million  K-12 teachers, students, staff, and parents have shared their ideas about education technology through the Speak Up online surveys, and we need your ideas too. The survey is free to us and will be used to help us plan for the future so we need to hear from all of you.
The survey window is open from January 13 - January 22, 2020. 

  Intradistrict Transfer Timeline

If you live in the Poway Unified School District boundaries and are interested in requesting a transfer to a school that is not your school of residence, you must submit a request during the transfer window of February 1 – March 31, 2020. No transfer requests will be accepted outside of this window, no exceptions.   Basketball at Oak Valley

January 21st–March 6th
Are you interested in playing Basketball? Oak Valley will be having a 6 week course on basketball for all skill levels. The students will be separated into same skill level teams and the higher level teams will represent the Falcons against other middle schools in the area. The total cost is $150 for the six week course. Please follow this link to sign up; space will be limited.
