Library Redesign

We have some exciting news to share! Our library is going to get an “Ottery terrific” makeover this summer and we need your help!  The library is the heart of our school and literacy is one of the core foundations we provide our children to help them succeed in the future.  Our goal is to update and create a fun and inviting space for our children to share for many years to come.  The plan is to paint add seating, desk space and signage to create a more functional, cohesive space for our children to learn and research.   Shoal Creek Educational Foundation has created a PayPal account and are now able to accept credit cards.  We also accept cash and check.  If you are interested in donating to the project, you may do so here:   You may also send in cash or check with your student in a labeled envelope Please make sure to label the envelope: Library Remodel Donation cc:SCEF or FoundationClick Here for more information and to view the proposed style and color theme:

Lego League

Shoal Creek is looking to start a new Jr. First Lego League Team next fall. It is designed to introduce STEM concepts to kids ages 6 to 10. Older students can participate in First Lego League. Guided by adult coaches, students build models using LEGO and create posters to present what they learned. The program focuses on building interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through a real-world challenge – to be solved by research, critical thinking, and imagination.  You can see more information in the attached link.

Robotics Club

Interested in Robotics? We are hoping to create a SCES Robotics Team for next year. Please see the attached schedule and contact Tracy Nguyen ( if you are interested!

Safety First!

Parents, if you child walks home, please remind them walk on the sidewalk and to avoid your neighbors grass, or climbing up slopes.  Also talk to them about being safe on the bridge. We do not want any more reports of students climbing the rails or fence on the bridge.
