•   Virtual Learning Extended

School wide Virtual Learning has been extended until January 28, 2021. On Campus Learning classes will now return on February 1st.

  •   February Break

The 2021 February break has been shortened from five days off to just two days off due to COVID-related adjustments to the 2020-21 school year calendar. There is no school on Monday, February 15 and Friday, February 19 due to the observance of Washington’s and Lincoln’s birthdays. However, school will be in session Tuesday through Thursday, February 16 through February 18, so students are expected to attend class on those three days. Spring Break remains the same, Monday, April 12 through Friday, April 16. The last day of school was changed to Friday, June 18, 2021. You can view the official District calendar here.

  •   Shoal Creek's Extraordinary Playlist: A Virtual Variety Show!

Mark your calendars - we've found a way to keep our talent show tradition alive. This year, our students are invited to submit videos of their acts to be stitched together into one extraordinary playlist that will premier for the school, on an exclusive YouTube channel, on March 12th.

If your student has an act they've been dying to share with an audience, please fill out THIS FORM by January 24th. This format also allows for more variety in our acts as you won't be limited to the stage. HERE are some ideas. Participating students will have until February 19th to submit a video of their polished act for the talent show crew to begin the compilation process.

Whether or not you participate, we'd love for everyone to be able to tune in to see our awesome Otters perform the skills they've honed during months at home. Look for a link to the premier in the coming months.

So warm up those vocal chords, brush up on your choreography, and let's get our playlist popping!

  •   Yearbook

Shoal Creek Parents, it is time to show your students some love! With the way this school year is going they certainly deserve it. Surprise your students by buying a PDA for them in the yearbook and by sharing how proud you are of them. What's a PDA? It is space in the yearbook for a message of about 30 words and a recent picture of your student, both of which you will provide the yearbook staff with. A PDA costs only $10 and can be reserved between now and February 19, 2021. In order to reserve a PDA for your student please send your message and picture to You can drop off or mail the $10 to the front office at school (make sure to mark the envelope with "Yearbook").
