Please Help Increase Our School Funding by Filling Out This Application!
Although school meals are now free to all students, the application for free and reduced-price meals is still very important. School funding depends in part on the number of students at our school who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. With all students now eating for free, fewer families are completing the application and our school is at risk of losing much-needed educational funds. Plus, students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals may also be missing out on discounts on bus transportation, before and after school care, and home internet!
Even if you did not qualify before, but your income has changed, you may now qualify. For example, children from a family of four are eligible if the total gross (pre-tax) household income is less than $4,279 per month, or less than $51,338 per year. Household income information is confidential and applying online is quick and easy. Apply online at MySchoolApps.com, or pick up a paper application in the school office.

PUSD 2022-2023 Continuing Student Registration is Coming in March!
If you have not completed your registration for the 2022-2023 school year, please do so asap. Here are the steps to help you:
1. Login and complete the digital registration packet online at the ParentVue portal: https://sis.powayusd.com/packet/
2. Review and complete the required forms located at the conclusion of the process. A packet is not considered finalized until this step is completed.
MEDICATION FORMS or ADDITIONAL SIGNED SITE SPECIFIC FORMS WILL NOT BE COLLECTED UNTIL SCHOOL BEGINS IN AUGUST FOR THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR.
Forgot your username or password? Need technical help? You can retrieve your username as well as reset your password by visiting https://password.powayusd.com and clicking the button that represents the help you require. Technical help is also available by sending an email to email@example.com
Please email Mrs. Omoto at firstname.lastname@example.org, as soon as possible, if you do not plan to return to PUSD for the 2022-2023 school year.

Ready to be more involved with the school? The Shoal Creek PTA is always looking for new or returning volunteers. PTA is responsible for fun community building events such as Multicultural Night, Family Picnic, Family Dance, and Science Night and we couldn’t host these events without our parent volunteers. If you are interested these events or curious about other ways to get involved, please reach out to Nancy Swartz to learn more at email@example.com or 760-889-8178.
Our Educational Foundation is also looking for some new volunteers. We are in need of a new Treasurer as well as some volunteers willing to help out with fundraising events. If you are interested or have questions, please reach out to Lori Lam at firstname.lastname@example.org .
As part of our district’s 1:1 Chromebook initiative all 3rd-5th graders have Chromebooks they bring back and forth to school. These students will keep their Chromebooks at home over the summer and return with them in August (5th graders will take them to middle school). If your child will not be attending school in PUSD next year, please have your child turn in their Chromebook on June 8th or 9th. Incoming 3rd graders will receive new Chromebooks at the beginning of the school year. Students in primary grades will continue to have access to Chromebooks to use at school next year.
If you need help with your child’s PUSD Chromebook after school or on the
weekend, you can email PUSDITHelp@powayusd.com. Students can
also bring their Chromebook to Mrs. Poole in our library and she will assist
