RANCH ROUND-UP 061121- All chrome books and chargers MUST be turned in by 3:30 p.m., Friday, June 18th.  This includes all returning students, moving students and VLA students.

HRES has such smart and talented students!  Congratulations to our STEAM event winners and all who submitted!  Also, a special thank you to Agnes and Patrick Deglon for chairing the event and creating a platform for our kids to submit virtual entries.

Learning Literacy Through a Social/Emotional Lens, will be sponsored by the San Marcos Writing Project in partnership with Poway Unified School District from  August 2 - August 6, 2021, Monday – Friday   8:30 AM – 11:30 a.m.   The San Marcos Writing project invites students entering 2nd through 6th grade to participate in a workshop led by Writing Project teachers. Registration fees include a notebook, writing materials and all supplies necessary for the workshop. Students will:
•   Participate in daily lessons that focus on social, emotional and individual strengths for each child
•   Learn about genre and figurative language focused lessons
•   Write in a friendly, supportive setting
•   Write fiction, poetry, or autobiographical sketches and essays 
•   Work on correctness for publication: grammar, spelling and punctuation
