Poway Unified Announces PUSD Classified Employees of the Year (Apr 27 2015)

The Poway Unified School District is proud to announce Rick Claur, Electrician, and Susie Warriner, School Secretary at Poway High School, have been chosen as the PUSD Classified Employees of the Year for 2015. Mr. Claur and Ms. Warriner learned of their award with surprise announcements at their sites this morning.

Poway Unified Superintendent Collins Selected for National Connected Superintendents Summit Wednesday at White House (Apr 27 2015)

Dr. John Collins, Superintendent of the Poway School District, has been selected by the U.S. Department of Education as one of 100 top school leaders from across America to participate in the first-ever National Connected Superintendents Summit Wednesday, Nov. 19 at the White House.

Poway Unified’s Del Sur Elementary School Named 2014 National Blue Ribbon School (Apr 27 2015)

Today, U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan recognized Poway Unified School District’s Del Sur Elementary as a National Blue Ribbon School. Secretary Duncan made this announcement live via the Department's USTREAM channel at 1:30 p.m.

Poway Unified Announces the Selection of District Volunteers of the Year (Apr 27 2015)

The Poway Unified School District is fortunate to have hundreds of volunteers who donate countless hours to the children on PUSD. The PUSD Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. John Collins would like to thank all of our volunteers for their time and support.

Poway Unified’s Newest School Hosting Community Event (Apr 27 2015)

On Saturday, August 16, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the public is invited to attend Experience39, an exciting community event for Poway Unified’s newest school, Design39Campus (D39C). Experience39 will have maker booths, school tours, keynote speakers, live bands, and food trucks. Guests are welcome throughout the four hour time period to enjoy and explore the innovative new K-8 campus at 17050 Del Sur Ridge, San Diego, CA 92127.


The Poway Unified School District today announced its policy for providing free and reduced-price meals for children served under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. The Food and Nutrition Department, located in the Poway Industrial Center, has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party.
