    Poway Unified’s Newest School Hosting Community Event (Apr 27 2015)

    On Saturday, August 16, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the public is invited to attend Experience39, an exciting community event for Poway Unified’s newest school, Design39Campus (D39C). Experience39 will have maker booths, school tours, keynote speakers, live bands, and food trucks. Guests are welcome throughout the four hour time period to enjoy and explore the innovative new K-8 campus at 17050 Del Sur Ridge, San Diego, CA 92127.


    POWAY UNIFIED PROVIDES INFORMATION FOR FREE AND REDUCED-PRICE MEALS IN THE NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH AND SCHOOL BREAKFAST PROGRAMS (Apr 27 2015)

    The Poway Unified School District today announced its policy for providing free and reduced-price meals for children served under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. The Food and Nutrition Department, located in the Poway Industrial Center, has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party.


    Poway Unified Honored by SDG&E as Energy Champion (Apr 27 2015)

    On May 13 at the 9th Annual San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) Energy Showcase event, Poway Unified was honored by SDG&E as an Energy Champion for its outstanding results in energy efficiency and conservation.


    Poway Unified School District Principal Appointments Recommended (Apr 27 2015)

    The Poway Unified School District is pleased to announce new leadership at several schools beginning July 2014. Superintendent John Collins made the following announcement: “Poway Unified School District is fortunate to announce the assignment of four talented and dedicated principals at the elementary school level. I am confident that each of these individuals will provide the commitment and leadership necessary to allow each of these school sites to continue their great work and growth for the future.” Dr. Collins will recommend these assignments to the Board of Education for their approval at the June 9, 2014, Special Board Meeting.


    SCHOOL MEAL PRICES WILL INCREASE FOR THE 2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR (Apr 27 2015)

    On April 23, 2014, the Poway School Board unanimously approved a 25 cent increase in meal prices beginning July 1, 2014


    Poway Unified Announces its PUSD Classified Employees of the Year (Apr 27 2015)

    The Poway Unified School District is proud to announce Linda Cialeo, Career, Technical and Adult Education Administrative Assistant I, and Michelle Testa, Sunset Hills Elementary School Health Technician, have been chosen as the PUSD Classified Employees of the Year for 2014. Employees were surprised with the announcement at their sites this morning.
