The Poway Unified School District is proud to announce that Fernando “Fredz” Madriaga, Sundance Elementary School Custodian, and Shevaun Teegarden, Mt. Carmel High School Attendance Accounting Assistant I, have been chosen as the PUSD Classified Employees of the Year for 2013.
At 11:30 this morning Dr. John Collins, Superintendent of the Poway Unified School District, met with the media to give a brief statement and take questions. I am very pleased to report that I was able to observe a very smooth opening of school this morning at Twin Peaks Middle School. We continue to have the support and presence of the Poway Sheriff’s Department, and today counselors from our crisis support team and other District support staff will remain on campus to assist with any student or staff needs.

Nominated for a TEAM PUSD award are: Student Home Computer Giveaway Program, Special Education Team and Creekside Elementary School.
In July 2012, the District launched a new recognition program for classified employees.
