Time and Learning
"Next Steps" ~
2002-2003

A comprehensive review, discussion and evaluation of flexible calendars, schedules, and/or
strategies is to be completed by the PUSD School Board, the PUSD Cabinet,
participating teachers in Alternative Evaluation during the 2002-03 cycle,
and representatives from the Core Academic Learning Time Committee in
conjunction with PUSD classified representatives and parents and community
members.
2.
Each review and discussion on calendars, schedules, programs and/or
strategies is to be evaluated on the basis of how well it meets and/or
addresses the recommendations provided in the PUSD
White Paper, Core Academic Learning Time Report on “Time and
Learning.”
3.
Candy Smiley, Staff
Developer will guide and formalize this review and discussion.
4.
After careful examination of the evaluation feedback, results and
potential costs and implications, made by the people involved in this
review, a proposal/s on the restructuring of instructional time will be
submitted for consideration to the School Board and to the Poway Federation
of Teachers by April 2003.
