GEO-ME-TRY

The purpose of this class is to introduce each of you to logic and reasoning. Geometry is the first mathematics course to do this. It helps prepare you for the rigors of advanced high school and college mathematics. It is recommended for students who have completed algebra with a mastery of the fundamentals of mathematical problems solving skills taught in that course. During the year, you will be introduced to reasoning, logic and development of mathematical arguments formalized in “proofs” as a required demonstration of your knowledge of the fundamental concepts and logical thinking skills you will learn.
