17 DISTRICT TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP VICTORY MESA VERDE 34 BLACK MOUNTAIN 26 The Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team defeated the previously undefeated Raiders of Black Mountain 34 to 26. The Eagles played a perfect 4th quarter scoring the last 13 points in the game while holding the Raiders scoreless!!!!! Katie Girten scored a game high 14 points, and Jacqueline Parente poured in 9. One of many highlights was Brittany Zych’s rejection at the end of the first half! |
