Thank you for taking the interest in your child's education.

When e-mailing me, please type your child's name in the subject line.  This also helps me when fishing out mail that goes into our SPAM program.  Thanks for your help.  :)

California Social Studies Standards for seventh grade

To access your child's grades, please have your child's complete GRID number ready to type in.  If your child doesn't know their number, you may e-mail me and I will let you know what it is.  Once you know it, please have your child write it down and keep it somewhere safe, away from their peers eyes.  This is the same number they used to access grades last year.

Trouble accessing your child's grades?  There should be a grey box where you enter your child's student I.D.  If it is missing, you need to get free Java here:  http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp  Simply click on the following link that will take you there:.

Download Java Software Now!
(Microsoft and the Java people had a falling out so now you need to get the FREE java download on your own)

MISSING Tests - Any student with a missing test due to an absence may make up his or her test after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  I am usually here after school on those days.  Please ask your child to let me know when they want to make up the test, as I may have another commitment on that day.  Thanks.

Academic Honesty policy - The district is very serious about honesty, especially in your schoolwork.

Core Literature list for this year

parent/student/teacher conferences:  This year, the district has again cut back even further on the amount of time we have to conference.  For this reason, I will be conferencing first with parents and students when the child has less that a "C" in either Language Arts or Social Studies.  When those conferences are scheduled, I will open up the conference times to any other interested parties.  Thanks you for your understanding on this.

It is my policy to have all parties present at conferences.   I feel that conferences concern the student, and that he or she needs to be present at the conference. If your child is unable to attend when we have scheduled a meeting, I will ask that we reschedule the conference for a time when he or she is available.
