If you have this problem and you needed to combine like terms you would first need to take the xs and add them together like this.
2x+7x=9x
Now that I have Xs now I want my Ys for my Ys I do the same like this.
20y-9y=11y
So
now I take my Xs and Ys put them together and get this.
9x+11y
