Computer Problem No.1
-17- 2x + 8x + 5
To simplify this problem you must first reduce the
equation by adding the two variable numbers. The variable numbers are the
numbers followed by x. To make it easier to follow I like to put brackets
around the equation I’m solving
-17- (2x + 8x) + 5
Simplifying for the sum of the variable numbers in the
brackets you get
(2x + 8x) =10x
Once you’ve determined the sum of the variables, place
the sum back into the equation
-17-10x+5
The next step would be to add the whole numbers
To make it easier to follow I like to put brackets
around the equation I’m
(-17-5)+10x
Solving for the difference of the whole numbers in the
brackets you first need to convert the equation as follows
(-17-5) = (-17+-5) = -22
Once you’ve determined the sum of the whole numbers,
place the sum back into the equation and solve for x
-22 + 10X
And finally you get your answer of negative twenty two
plus ten x.
-22+10x
