            Problem: -33 – x + 33x + 1 =?

Answer: I combined like terms, so the x’s were together, than the constants.

So it would look like this, 33x –x +-33 + 1.

Next I subtracted x from 33x and got 32x.

Then I added –33 + 1, and got –32.

After all this, the simplest form is 32x + -32.

Work: -33 – x + 33x + 1

            (33x – x) + (-33 + 1)

32x + -32 this is the simplest form
