Intern Program

Welcome to the Titan Tech Team T3s Poway High School's Prestigous Student Computer Repair Technicians

Fall Semester at PHS

Supervisor - Lynn Olps
Non-paying position
Any class period
Assists with maintenance and training of technology at PHS campus

Requirements:

Students meet in S2 the first Wednesday of every month during Tutorial Period
- Review of learned tasks
- Review of relationship with clientele
- Review of job requirements

Students to maintain log* of the following:
- Tasks completed daily
- Procedure log or tasks learned
Log to be turned in every Friday at end of period

*Student should have a dedicated notebook or place in a binder for these materials

Students required to write resume, cover letter, and thank-you letters in preparation for Semester 2. First draft due October 1, 2003.

Students required to take sample A+ exams. Must arrange time with instructor.

Grading is based on the following:

Weekly logs
Performance ratings by clientele and on-site techs
A+ Practice Exams
Resume, cover letter, and thank-you letter
Attendance at monthly tutorial meetings

Spring Semester -- PHS Support Tech continuation or Business Placement

Supervisor at PHS
- Lynn Olps
- Continuation of working with Vicki Wahlsten - LAN administrator
- Non-paid position
- Any period of the day
Supervisor for Business Placement
- Cora Bageley for PUSD
- Supervisor at local business with whom student placed
- May be paid or non-paid position depending upon placement
- 6th Period, off-role
- Student needs updated resume

A+ Certification Discount Certificate available after meeting specific criteria. Poway Unified School District Certificate given to student upon successful completion of program.
