Project: Students will research one of the following musical artists/groups, a famous athlete or movie star. Students will write:

  1. A biography of the artist, group, star, or athlete of their choice
  2. A list of 10 songs, Grammies or Academy Awards, or athletic accomplishments (Olympic Golds, Silver or Bronze Awards)
  3. Lyrics to the student's favorite song, a list of features movies or television shows featuring that artist and/or albums, or a list of events participate in (i.e. 1998 SuperBowl)
  4. A letter written to that artist, star or athlete.

Objectives:

  • Sorting information
  • Headers and Footers
  • Clip Art and images
  • Automatic dates
  • Spelling and Grammar Check
  • Automatic Page numbers
  • Print Preview and Print
  • Lists
  •  Proper MLA Citation 

STEP 1:

Print out the Rubric - this will serve as a guide in helping you complete your assignment.  Three hole punch the rubric and place it in your binder.  Check off items as you complete them.  4 Grade yourself

Specific Requirements for each of the following pages:

  1. Header - Your name and Period number should be placed on the right side of the header - Font size 12
  2. Footer - Place the project name on the left, the page number in the center and the date on the right side of the footer - Font size 8

SAVE THOSE INTERNET ADDRESSES FROM THE BEGINNING FOR YOUR WORKS CITED PAGE!!!!!!!!!

This is to be ONE LONG Document, except for the Title Page.  It is the only document that is to be separate.  Otherwise, join the Biography, Songs/Awards, Letter, Gallery, and Works Cited Page into one long document.

2.  A bulleted  list of the top five songs, top five awards , five achievements that you most admire in the celebrity listed alphabetically or by year, and indented 1" from the left.

Watch your spacing - count - remember the magic numbers are 2 and 4.  If you can't remember how to do it, see the letter to your parents, or the Generic letter.
