| History in 4th grade covers California State History. We begin with a review of CA Geography and Regions from third grade. We also review Early Americans in CA, as well as early explorers and settlers of our state. We move into the Mission Era, the Ranchos, and Peublos, and how they affected the development of CA. Next is the popular unit, the Gold Rush. Later in the year we study about the Pony Express, Transcontinental Railroad, Immigration and statehood. |
