Students' reactions to seeing the Eyases ...

My first thoughts were, "they are so cute!"  They looked like a big cotton ball.  I was so happy for SW and Buckeye.  I can't wait to see the baby birds more active.  I bet that it will get pretty funny.  I'm also wondering if they are all boys, or all girls, or a mix.  I can't wait to find out! ~ Breanne

My reaction to the baby falcons hatching was shock and joy that all of them hatched.  I was mad I didn't get to see them hatch over break.  I'm happy that they all hatched and are being well taken care of by their parents. ~ Katrina

When I found out the chicks had hatched I sat down very excitedly and showed my mom right away.  My brother heard and I showed him.  (My brother did this same project 2 years ago.)  I keep going on the site to check on the chicks.  They are so cute! ~ Carly

My reactions was one of surprise.  The birds were beautiful when I saw them.  That babies look cute with their white feathers.  when the babies are all together they look like they're one big bird.  I think they are little fuzz balls with beaks and eyes. ~ Christopher

The babies are like little fluff balls and look fun to play with. ~ Sierra

I think it is very cute how one of the baby falcons seems to squawk too much.  I was in Arizona when they hatched.  As soon as I looked at the baby falcons on the Internet I spread the news to my whole entire family and they all were excited, especially my grandmother. ~ Katherine

The new born babies are very fluffy and always starving.  They are always yapping a lot, especially one of the chicks.  they look like a big ball of cotton when they are all together. ~ Brian

The babies are always stuck together.  They are beginning to explore the world they live in - looking around a lot.  they are constantly hungry too! ~ Courtney

The baby Peregrines are so fluffy you just want to hug them. ~ Evan

WOW!  They are awesome!  They look like best friends always hugging each other.  They are little fluffy chicks.  It is cool to watch them. ~ Michael

I think the baby falcons look like cotton balls with heads.  They are as white as snow. ~ Simeon

When I look at the falcon babies I think of huge, growing, white fuzz balls.  I think they are very cute and growing extremely fast.  Sooner or later the babies are going to start attacking SW.  I wish I could raise a falcon, but I know it would imprint on me. ~ Rahul

I am really excited about the babies.  They look like white fuzz balls, like cotton balls but with heads.  I have never seen a baby bird before. ~ Jake

I'm surprised at how big they have gotten so fast.  They are so cute!  I wish I could touch one. ~ Johanna

When I first saw the baby Peregrines they looked like fluffy cotton balls.  You could barely see their head so all four together looked like one big baby.  Sometimes they look funny - like when they stretch their necks out and open their mouths really wide for food. ~ Margaret

I am happy that all the eyases hatched, and lived.  They babies are cute and are getting big fast.  SW is still with them a lot but I have not noticed Buckeye there as much. ~ Sarah

They look like the fluffy balls that my sister uses to put on make-up.  They look like they could be used to clean my ears.  I want to clean my ears with them, they look so soft and cuddly! ~ Trevor

I think the baby falcons look like big, fluffy cotton balls with black eyes.  I love it when they are in a big clump.  I think they are so cute! ~ Ashley

I was somewhat excited about the babies hatching.  I thought it was cool how little and white they were.  I like the one picture where Dad and the baby is having a staring contest. ~ Andy

I never remember seeing a baby bird before.  I was amazed at nature. ~ Zach

I think the baby chicks look like they could be used to dust because they look so fluffy.  I wish I could play with one - just throw them up and catch them. ~ Jesse

The babies look like little balls of fuzz.  Every time I look at them they make me laugh.  My favorite baby is the one that squawks a lot. ~ Bronte

When I saw the little babies I didn't want to get off the computer.  They look like little cotton balls that have mouths.  I like to study the pictures.  My favorite is the one with SW and the babies saying, "What are we looking at?"  They are the cutest things I have ever seen! ~ Jessica
