"What IS that big silver thing up there?  And I thought I flew fast!"

We are at T - 1 week and counting until hatch ... Watch for these behaviors ~ We will start seeing SW and Buckeye sitting on the eggs "higher", with their back slightly arched in a few days.  They will also look like they are listening to sounds under them.

4/12/06  We are convinced something is happening at the nest ... We are noticing the birds are standing up a lot and seem to be turning their head listening today.  also, there were several times the adult's mouths were slightly open as though they were vocalizing.  Look closely at the following pictures.
