  Can she hunt / eat?
A concern this season is the condition of SW's (the female's) beak. In the picture on the left you can see the tip has been broken off. This picture was taken in mid-December. Peregrine Falcons use their beaks to tear into their food. SW will need to tear food into small bites for the babies when the time comes. Luckily Buckeye is there to help her, and she continues to look healthy otherwise.

Experts have reported her beak will grow back over time. You can see more photos of SW's broken beak and read more about this on the forum's thread. Can you relate SW's beak and something human experience?
