Looks like one healthy baby hatched today ... and possibly one more on the way sometime tonight under the cover of darkness
Rain all day yesterday, and all night last night ... turning to light snow about 3 AM.  Only 37°F this morning!

Why do birds eat the broken egg shell from their hatched young?
