SW, Buckeye, and the RHES Falcon Team Welcome you to PEREGRINE FALCON WATCH 2005

SW ~ aka Mom (on the left) ~ a gorgeous falcon, was born at the Gulf Tower in Pennsylvania in1999. Buckeye ~ aka Dad (on the right) ~ an equally beautiful tercel, was born at the Rhodes Tower in Columbus, Ohio in 1996. They now reside on the 12th floor of the Terminal Tower Building in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Their daily activities can be witnessed by visiting the Ecocity Cleveland Falcon Cam .

The students on the Falcon Team are doing this voluntarily and independently of other curricular units. We are developing this site to share our experience with our families, classmates, and friends. With minimal guidance from the teacher the students will:

Observe a nesting pair of Peregrine Falcons via the internet.
Participate in a discussion forum designed for students.
Maintain a log of observations, facts and impressions of the falcons.
Do supplemental reading and writing activities.
