Welcome to
PEREGRINE FALCON WATCH
Spring 2004

22 fifth graders in Rooms 22 and 23 "applied" to become nest monitors for the 2004 nesting season. The students are doing this voluntarily and independently of other curricular units.

We are developing this site to share our experience with our families, classmates, and friends. With minimal guidance from the teacher the students will:

Observe a nesting pair of Peregrine Falcons via the internet.
Participate in a discussion forum designed for students.
Maintain a log of observations, facts and impressions of the falcons.
Do supplemental reading and writing activities.

We reside on the 12th floor of the Terminal Tower Building in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, USA.

To give you a little background, Buckeye ~ aka Dad ~ a beautiful tercel, was born at the Rhodes Tower in Columbus, Ohio in 1996.
SW ~ aka Mom ~ an equally gorgeous falcon, was born at the Gulf Tower in Pennsylvania in1999.
