BlainePlane.JPG (203776 bytes)If you like building LEGOS® then you'll like Poway!   On March 20, 1999  LEGOLAND®  California became the first park of its kind on this side of the Atlantic Ocean.  It opened in Carlsbad, which is about 30 minutes from here, so you can easily visit the park.  It is a great interaction for  anyone who likes LEGOS® - kids and adults!  It has rides, shows, restaurants, shops, neat landscaping and, of course, LEGOS®!

Thirty million
LEGO® bricks were used to create models in the park which is built on 128 acres overlooking the ocean.  It's huge!
In the park you can visit five different areas, including Miniland, which copies New York, New Orleans, the California coast, the New England harbor, and Washington, D.C. - all built from
LEGO® bricks!

blaineup.jpg (163826 bytes)The Maniac Zone has free-play workshops including computers.  Castle Hill is part of a medieval land with a gravity-coaster and more!  Fun Town has a driving school, sky patrol, and a skipper school.  DUPLO® Village has a make-believe garden with interactive attractions and entertainment where kids can play.

If this sounds neat, come to Poway and you will only be 30 minutes from LEGOLAND®!  If you would like more information, you can call (760) 918- LEGO®.

It is located off of the 5 freeway in Carlsbad.  Exit the freeway on Cannon Rd. and go east.  Then turn south on One Lego Drive, park, and enjoy your day.
