If you surf, swim or like to sunbathe, you are in luck. We live about 30 minutes away from the beach. You can go to the piers and feed the seagulls and pelicans, and watch for whales. You can go surfing.  In special places you can snorkel and boogie board.   Or you can try it all!  At Mission Beach there is a roller coaster called The Big Dipper, bumper cars, and other rides to enjoy.

Sometimes there are sandcastle building contests. The beaches of San Diego are clean and great places to spend the day with your family and friends. You can go to the beach in the morning, spend the whole day there, and build a fire in a fire pit and watch the sun go down. There is also great surf and fishing.
