Welcome Mighty Monarchs!

Dear Second Grade Families,

We have so much to celebrate and be proud of. Our wonderful students did SO well on the CST! I'm simply beaming at how focused and serious they were through each test. It's not easy for 7 and 8-year-olds to be patient and spend a lot of their time silently waiting. What a remarkable job they did! Be sure to give them a big hug.

Thank you to those of you who already returned the permission slip and money for our Balboa Park excursion on May 15. I have one chaperone and am waiting for a ton more. The more the merrier on this one.

This week marks the beginning of our final 2nd grade science unit on Living Things. We'll spend a week on plant life, another on animal life cycles, and a final week on us (humans). It should be interesting and fun. Thanks for sending in the empty towel rolls. They will make terrific muscles!
