calculator/math chart when doing calculations

Highlight important
information and DRAW pictures to explain story problems.

Use manipulatives
whenever possible.

Highlight
“operations” on sheets with multiple signs (ex. Plus = Pink).

Enlarge worksheets
with too many problems on them (Especially Math for Today pages. They are too
crowded!)

Cut down repetitive
worksheets that are testing the same skill over and over. (No need for
overkill!)

Touch Math is a great hands-on tool for learning 1-to-1
correspondence and "counting on."
