MATH Help!

  • Use of a calculator/math chart when doing calculations
  • Highlight important information and DRAW pictures to explain story problems.
  • Use manipulatives whenever possible.
  • Highlight “operations” on sheets with multiple signs (ex. Plus = Pink).
  • Enlarge worksheets with too many problems on them (Especially Math for Today pages.  They are too crowded!)
  • Cut down repetitive worksheets that are testing the same skill over and over. (No need for overkill!)
  • Touch Math is a great hands-on tool for learning 1-to-1 correspondence and "counting on." http://www.touchmath.com/
