A: Identify the Antecedent to the behavior (often times it’s something the child can tell you if you just ask!) The antecedent is the event that precedes the behavior. B: Identify the Behavior. C: Consequence to the behavior.
1. Give a token every time the appropriate target behavior is displayed. Pre-determine a specified number of tokens that will earn the student an incentive. 2. Start with a given number of tokens every day or at the beginning of each session. The student keeps all of the tokens as long as the appropriate target behavior is displayed. A token is taken away when appropriate behavior is not displayed. The student receives the incentive if they have tokens at the end of the day/session.
