Miss Sheehan (PM class) gives us her impression of Beowulf .  Who knows, with such barbarian style and grace she might even be Gov. of CA someday. "Ja, ve vill rock you!"

Morning class:

Oh joy!  Literature quizzes are so much fun. May we please have another one tomorrow Mr. Sykes? Awww, come on, Pleeeeese!

Smiling faces in the afternoon, ready to enjoy the 7th grade year.

This Beowulf guy is way cool but there are hardly any women in this story. I may have to report this author to the ACLU for his insensitivity and lack of representation of  women's roles in ancient Scandinavian society.

Daddy forget the pony. May I have a Viking ship for Christmas?

The afternoon class gathers information from artifacts in order to develop a  theory for their  "Interpreting History" test. Connor is excited and flushed with the joy of discovery.

Kristina and Sarah are guarding the classroom in case those nasty Romans decide to attack. There have been rumors that the Emperor Trajan is coming with his legions to add Mesa Verde to his empire. Not on their watch he won't.

History Faire:
