Personal Background:

     I have have three children, A married daughter and wonderful son in law (Kathleen and Chris), One daughter at Sonoma State U. (Margaret) and an 11th grade son, (Andrew) at Westview. Kathleen and Chris are currently retired from serving with the U. S. Army Military Police. They have given me a grandchild , Miss Rebecka Dart, who keeps her "grandpa Dave" busy and happy. Aside from the (normal) schedule of fatherhood/grand fatherhood, teaching and running the drama program here at Mesa Verde, I manage to spend time with a Middle Ages recreation group (the SCA) where I indulge myself, researching and recreating clothing, armor, weapons/tools, food and music from this period in European history. A current project (one of many) involves reproducing a 10th cen. Viking grave site (in the classroom) for my students to research and study. I read whenever I can, am involved with community theater, direct the Mesa Verde Players (our school drama club) , and sleep when I must (Alas for the wasted time)
