The goal of the "Rocket Into Reading" program is to encourage reading and introduce students to different genres. Over the course of each month, students read books at their reading level in the genre or theme of the month. To receive credit for pages read, students need to turn in a book talk each time they finish a book. At the end of the month each child who reaches the goal of 360 pages or more receives a charm in an assembly that parents and family are invited to attend.

This goal of 360 pages per month is easily reached by reading 25 pages for homework every day.

Rocket Into Reading Award Assemblies

Families are invited to share in the celebration each month as students receive their charms for meeting the goal of the month. Come join us, assemblies will take place at 2:15 p.m. in the M.P. room on the following dates:
