Dear Parents,
The start
of each new school year
is exciting, but a little scary for for everyone. All of a
sudden 4th grade students find themselves in a class of 34
students compared to 20. 5th grade students have a lot of extra responsibility,
and many students have mixed feelings about being in a combo
class. We hope to put all fears to rest, and predict
a wonderful year of growth for everyone. We have many plans for the
year, and are both looking forward to working with this
new class
of 4th
and 5th graders.

S.O.3S - the
system we use to teach student organization and study skills. Read
about S.L.A.N.T., ways to be organized, time management ideas,
setting
goals, note taking and how to prepare for tests. This is the system
we both teach and encourage in the classroom. Reinforcement of
these skills
at
home is very valuable.
MAP- the
computerized assessment system we use to test students 3 times
a year for academic progress. Click on the link for a

of each test that is taken showing their child's MAP score.
