Recommended School Supplies

Please try to have the supplies
highlighted in
yellow
by the first of school,
and the remainder by Monday, August 24.

2 blue or black ink pens

2 red pens

2 pencils (#2 lead)

1 three-subject spiral-bound
notebook, college-ruled (narrowly spaced lines), WITHOUT perforated edges if
possible

2 single-subject
spiral-bound notebooks, college-ruled (narrowly spaced lines), WITHOUT
perforated edges if possible
(You will need 2 or 3 more
throughout the year, so if you find a good bargain, buy them now.)

1 large Ziploc-type bag
with your name and room number (402) written in permanent marker
- 4 highlighters
(yellow, blue, green, and pink or orange)
- 8-12 colored felt pens or pencils for illustrating your work
- 1 pair of scissors
- 1 glue stick
- 1 pencil
pouch or box to hold the stuff above- whatever you prefer
- 1 pocket folder with about 25 sheets
of college-ruled notebook paper (keep more at home)
- 3x5 lined index cards (you'll need about 150 cards for
vocabulary this year)
- 1x1 inch post-it notes

1 USB (flash drive)
One for all classes is fine.

1 medium or fine-point Sharpie
(blue or black)
Please write your name on all supplies (if
possible) with a fine point Sharpie (permanent marker).
* Basic school supplies can be provided as
needed, but if you bring your own, you won't have to share. Also,
sometimes my classroom supplies wear out, break, or grow legs and walk out the
door. By having your own, you'll always be prepared. Let me know if
you have any trouble getting these supplies.
** We do NOT use 3-ring binders for Language Arts or
Social Studies. I'll explain my logic on the first day of school and show
you how to set up your spiral notebooks.
