Meet the Teacher



	Greetings from your Second Grade Teacher Aloha! I thought you might like a chance to get to know me and my family. My name is Mary Delos Santos and I love being a mother, teacher, and wife to another wonderful teacher. As a child I was always playing teacher. Then through my teenage years I was always loving and caring for children. So it was no surprise that I went off to college, SDSU, to become a teacher. I’ve now been teaching for twenty years here in Poway. I absolutely love my profession! I am looking forward to getting to know you during our year together. Here's the inside scoop about me. I love to start each morning with a Starbucks coffee and hugs from my children. On the weekends I enjoy spending time with my family shopping at the mall, Geo Caching, cooking, crafting, or going to the movies. We always have something to explore or do here in beautiful San Diego. My favorite color is green. I adore smiles and babies. I dislike rude people and being too hot! I am the proud mother of two. Kaitlyn is my dream girl with her love for music and fashion. I can’t believe how fast she is growing up! My petite fourth grader is quite proud of the fact that she attends school where her dad teaches, Stone Ranch. As for Christopher, my seven year old, there is just one word to describe him to a T. COOL! My very cool skater boy is better known as Buddha to all who love him. He loves playing baseball, golfing and has just taken up surfing this summer. Last but not least is my favorite man, my husband, Mr. Delos Santos. He's the very popular, talented, magical, third grade teacher over at our neighbor school, Stone Ranch. You will most likely meet my family through school or 4S Ranch community events. As you can see from my family photos, my family and I have had an incredible summer! We are very close with our extended family and did our usual big family trip to Maui & Kona, Hawaii. We feel spoiled with having so much fun family time together! Love, Mrs. Delos Santos
