 Dear Families of E8,

We are off to an incredible start!  Thank you for attending Back to School Night.  Please keep your child reading at home on a regular basis.  Good readers read a lot!  During the next few weeks, I will start training  your second grader how to independently complete their homework in class.  Then before you know it, the weekly homework contract will be coming home.  When the homework starts, remember it will come home on a Friday and will be due the following Friday. 

Now that we've done a fair amount of community building, we are starting to settle into our academic scheduled routines.  The focus of our class this September is building routines in our math & reading programs.  We'll also train & set up homework contracts.  Most importantly, we will continue to make each school day fun and meaningful!
