There's an Owl in the Shower, by Jean Craighead George is a great book. It is about loggers and spotted owls trying to get along together. The loggers need to cut down the big trees that the endangered owls are living in so the the loggers can keep their jobs. Read how Borden, a logger's son saves the day. | The Boxcar Children and the Houseboat Mystery, by Gertrude Chandler Warner is a great book. It is about the Aldens who rented a houseboat for a day. When they are on the houseboat the mystery begins and a man starts to follow them around. The characters are very funny. The Hobbit, by J.R.Tolkien is a story about a hobbit that meets a wizard and 13 dwarves. They go on an exciting adventure to a dragon's cave to try to steal back all the treasure that had belonged to the dwarves. I think you should read this book because it's exciting, like when they had to sneak into the dragon's cave and steal a gold cup full of gold. reviewed by Lindsay |
