Hi!
I'm Brian. I'd like to welcome you to Poway. We have seventeen parks in our
city. Some of my favorite parks are Garden Road Park, Hilleary Park, and Lake Poway
Park. We also enjoy the Blue Sky Ecological Reserve right here in Poway. That
is why Poway has a name, "The City in the Country."
Old Poway Park has a
train barn to house the 1907 Baldwin No. 3 Steam Engine. It also has an 1894 L.A.
Yellow Trolley for you to ride on. There are restaurants and a 2-acre green park for
picnics and other activities.
Community Park has a
big pool. It contains a 50-meter Olympic pool, children's wading pool, diving well
with one and three meter boards, and a concession area. I enjoyed this pool a lot,
especially in the summer.
Lake Poway Park is my
favorite fishing place. We usually rent a motor boat everytime we go fishing at the
lake. Lake Poway offers fishing, boating, sailing, hiking, camping, picnicking, and
volleyball.
I like to go to the
parks all year round. Our parks and sunny weather are a great combination.
