Poway's air isn't smoggy at all. The smog trend hasClear Blue Sky of Poway lowered and lowered since first measured in 1978.   Because Poway usually has good smog control,  you can take a deep, clean breath.  People should be aware if they are allergic to pollen because there can be lots of it in Poway because of our wide open spaces covered with plants and trees.  (This photo of our beautiful blue sky and   green trees in the Blue Sky Reserve was taken by Gloria, a student in our class.)

The area of Poway may experience coastal climate for brief periods of time. But normally, Poway has warm, dry days and crisp cool nights. Daytime humidity is low. Summer temperatures can reach 100° and winter days are mild, around 70°, with frosty mornings.

We have a water treatment plant near Lake Poway that tests our water and makes sure it is always safe and pure to drink.
