Instrumental Ensemble

Instrumental Ensemble is a course for students who do not wish to participate in the school’s Marching Band.  Quarter I concentrates on the development of chamber music ensemble playing (duets, trios, etc…) and Quarter II concentrates on preparation for the Solo & Ensemble Festival.  Term II students are placed in Concert Band II (fromally known as Freshman Band), Concert Band I or Wind Ensemble (please see course descriptors).  This is a performance class, and students are expected to participate in all band activities.  This course may be used to meet the UC/CSU “F” or “G” requirement and the PUSD Fine Arts requirement.
